My work in the animal industry started at the very young age of 12 volunteering for my family’s animal rescue. From bottle-feeding motherless kitten and puppies to finding new homes and rehabilitating numerous homeless pets, I loved helping animals in any way possible. Volunteering with other local animal rescues eventually lead me to my first job in the veterinary field at a mobile spay and neuter clinic. My ambitions and passion for animal welfare pushed me to help animals through as many venues as possible. In 2005 I earned the Young Person of the Year award from Utah’s Awards for Distinguished Service to Animals and the Miss Mount Pleasant, Utah pageant based on an Animal Welfare Platform. Shortly after, I started working for Banfield the Pet Hospital to gain experience and knowledge in the veterinary medical industry. Since then I gained a wealth of information, experience, friendships, and education in this challenging field working in a variety of positions. I recently moved to the El Paso area from Albuquerque, New Mexico to pursue my next goal, the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager certification. My geriatric cat Gravy Foot is my furry companion for the past 10 years and loves to keep my heart warm and very entertained. I love film photography and cannot wait to experience what El Paso and Mesa Veterinary Clinic has to offer.
