My love for animals started to show at a very young age. I started playing to be a veterinarian and help feed our neighborhood stray cats and dogs. My household consists of 7 dogs, 5 sugar gliders, and the love of my life my beautiful “Güero” the cat. All my pets have an interesting story behind their adoption, I really can’t see my life without them. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, all my fur babies, and going to rodeos. Every day is a good day no matter the circumstances because every day you learn something new. I love client education, from preventative care medicine for puppies/kittens to hospice or special needs care for adults and senior pets. It’s my pleasure to provide guidance for the well-being of your fur babies. I really don’t see myself working in any other place, I love and enjoy what I do. I look forward to continue helping the El Paso community and their pets with Mesa Veterinary Clinic and Paws N’ Hooves Mobile Veterinary Services.

Johana
Hello, my name is Johana. I was born in Cd. Juarez but was raised in El Paso, Tx. Once I graduated high school, I decided to pursue a degree in Education. I received an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education in 2006 and continued to get my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southwestern Adventist University. After three years of being out of town, I decided to come back to my hometown to be with my family. Throughout the years I’ve worked in many different areas but never found my true calling until now. I’m thankful I was given the opportunity to take a Certified Veterinary Assistant course because if there’s one thing I love most aside from my family and being able to work with kids, is animals. Currently, I have four cats (my calico cat Baby, Nini aka Pishu Papa, Donnie, and Michaelangelo) and my big boy, a German Shepard/Lab mix, Bucky. I love working at the clinic because I get a sense of satisfaction to know that we’re helping one pet at a time to stay healthy. Our Doctors, technicians, and staff members genuinely care for every pet well-being that walks in through the door; and being able to snuggle with so many pets on a daily is always a plus!
Kassie
Hi! My name is Kassie. I was born and raised right here in El Paso, TX. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I currently have two dogs, Hachi (Corgi mix) and Katara (Husky). I recently graduated from UTEP with a Bachelors in Biomedical Science and I also took the Certified Veterinary Assistant course offered through the clinic. From there my career really blossomed! I’m so grateful to be given the opportunity to be a part of this team and family and I look forward to meeting and interacting with all the fur babies that come to our clinic!

Hello! My name is April and I’m a new Vet Tech with Paws N Hooves. I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Animal Science in the fall of 2022 from NMSU and have recently completed my CVA course here with Paws N Hooves. I have loved working with animals my whole life but it wasn’t until this year that I got the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills into the Vet industry. During my free time I love playing volleyball, hanging out with my friends and family and enjoying time with my pets.
